Your job
Our residential building, located in the heart of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce , is looking for a residential concierge to ensure the maintenance, security and well-being of residents. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will be the main contact for residents on all matters relating to the maintenance and day-to-day management of the building.
Your responsibilities
Maintenance and cleanliness :
- Ensure the cleanliness of common areas (entrance hall, corridors, staircases, elevators, technical rooms, etc.).
- Manage the upkeep of the building’s green spaces and outdoor areas.
- Carry out small repairs and routine maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, minor repairs, etc.).
Security :
- Ensure building security by monitoring access and ensuring that entrance and emergency doors are operational.
- Report and follow up security incidents and technical problems with the appropriate departments.
Waste management :
- Organize and supervise waste management, including sorting and removal of waste garbage cans.
- Keep garbage rooms clean and tidy.
Welcome and Assistance to Residents :
- Welcome new residents and help them settle in.
- Respond to residents’ requests and questions, providing information and advice.
- Manage relations with service providers (cleaning and maintenance companies, etc.).
Your qualifications
- Previous experience as a janitor or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of security systems and basic maintenance procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Availability for emergency response outside normal working hours.
- Discretion and sense of service.
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Valid driving license with vehicle
