Innovative agri-food hub in Trois-Rivières

One visit to this grandiose site was enough for us to breath a dose of massive inspiration. The privileged location of the building, on the banks of the St. Lawrence river and close to the highway and downtown Trois-Rivières, make it the perfect place for the development of an exceptional project. The whole coupled with an industrial wasteland imprinted with a unique architectural character as well as a rich working history that marked the history of the Tri-Fluvien convinced us to embark on the crazy adventure of carrying out a structuring project by redeveloping a building in need of a revamp.

We quickly developed a collaborative relationship with the economic development of the city of Trois-Rivières, allowing us to identify a great need for an affordable agri-food infrastructure in the Mauricie region. Our meeting with the CCTT (college center for technology transfer) Cintech Agroalimentaire, recently established in the region, wasn’t a strike of chance. A strategic partnership was quickly developed, making it possible to put in place a strategic plan for the development of the most important and structuring innovative agri-food ecosystem in Quebec.

As a result, the project, combining the mission of increasing Quebec’s food autonomy, while developing a project according to strong principles of sustainable development and energy transition, is a project that brings together all the players in the agri-food sector.
